335i LSD

I'm thinking of installing a LSD into the back of the 335.

I have been reading the posts on the various suppliers in the USA but wonder if there is anyone who can do it here.

Cheers.

It's more for track work. It allows both tyres to evenly apply traction to the road. Otherwise one tyre will break traction leaving a long single skid mark. The M3, M5, M6, etc have a LSD as standard.

Basically, if you want to perform a long oversteer sideways slide, you need a LSD.

Cheers.

Its not cheap by any means, so don't be shocked. Bavariacars are the Drexler distributors who make all the shit hot gear (they supplied the LSD's for the Bathurst cars).

You'll probably see 2 of my BMW's down there having various stuff done when you go! Erik's a friendly guy and no one knows more about modified BMW's in Australia than them.

Got 3 BMW's. 335, M3 and a modified E30 (by far the quickest)

The M3 is going in for KW V2's and to have my peddle kit and alcantra steering wheel fitted and the E30 is going in for a service, some paint and solid urethane bushes maybe, not sure on the last bit yet though.

You'll see some pretty wild BMW's there though

A great collection. You must have a 5 car garage.

E30 the quickest???

Do you trust the guys not to "screw" you on price?

Cheers.

Yeah the E30 runs low 12s over the quarter at 116 mph compared to the M3 which I've managed a 13.5 @ 103. I've got a Skyline that has vastly more power but haven't had it out for a run. Although I'm keen to get the 335 out some time and see what it'll do

Speak with Erik they are the best at what they do. They have fixed other well known workshops customers cars as well. When you go down or phone tell Erik that you were talking to Ben on E90 post about a drexler LSD and he'll give you all the info. I believe from memory its the entire diff and housing, not just the ratios. Apparently the 335 diff is even bigger than the E46 M3 one which is huge.

They also do a Remus exhaust for the 335 as well but I don't have much info on it.
