Option 3DZ "Without Lines Designation outside"

Does anyone know what this no charge option is? This option shows up on my order and I have no idea what it means. My car has ZML Modern Line with 7S1, 255, 2P5, 4DD, 4DM, and a bunch of other stuff not related to ZML.

It keeps you from having this garish little badge on the front fender.

Very happy we are not getting that badge on our cars here. Having a badge that says "Luxury" on your car is asking for a keying.

In Europe, you can order a BMW completely badgeless. Not sure why that option is not available in the US.

The door sill has the line designation though. Can that be optioned out?

is that why some cars have the M badge on them for the M sport line and some don't?

Possibly outside the US I believe they come standard with the M badge if you have m-sport. At least the only cars I've seen with them are not US cars.

just noticed this on my Msport US order as well---my car is already in production, but would there be any way to ADD this designation if someone had wanted it?.. i know its standrad on Canadian spec cars, but not U.S

I don't understand the responses here. Does this code on my current order 2024 430x coupe with M Sport design means it will not have an M insignia on the fender? But what about on the back trunk?.
If I delete this code will it the have M insignia anywhere on its exterior?
Does BMW place the M badges on an M Sport design car?
This is not a M4, only a M Sport design 430x

This is not a M4, only a M Sport design 430x

It only deletes the fender badges that are standard in most other markets. It is universal for BMWNA cars.
