need a RFT plugged in Nassau Co. - any suggestions?

Its a very small nail in the tread [not the sidewall] that is causing a slow leak. Any suggestions for a tire shop in Nassau, possibly around Garden City or Plainview???

Thanks!

There's a tire spot next to Pepboys in Hempstead that would do it for like $10-15 if that. Not more than 5 minutes from Garden city.

Thanks. I should probably have the tire taken off the rim to make sure it is fixed properly.

If you get it taken off the rim to inspect it your self you might as well just get it patched rather than plugged

I thought you weren't supposed to plug RFT's

you can patch them if the hole is in the tread but not the sidewall. Also, if the tire was run without air for any distance the tire should be replaced. I had several shops refuse to even consider it.

PS - the nail did not go all the way into the tire and the shop put the tire in water and could not find a leak. The sensor was going off every 2-3 weeks and the tire was down about 5 lbs each time. Oh well.
