Side-marker fitment

Hey guys, I bought some LED side markers a little while back and took even longer to get them on the car. During the install one of the metal clips broke (really didn't want to "slide" on like I expected) so I've had to get a replacement sent out - kudos to Derrick from e92-lighting on immediately sending out replacements without any fuss. However, the other issue I noticed was the gap between the back of the side-marker and the fender. The description of the lights say they have a rubber gasket on them, but it would appear that they do not. Confirmed with Derrick and guys at Bimmian that these do not have any kind of rubber gasket at all. On deployment (again) so won't be able to install for a few months, but has anyone else run into this issue? Any fixes for getting it to sit flush? I'm a little worried about the possibility of moisture getting in there if it isn't a nice tight fit.

I definitely like the look of them so don't mind spending a little extra time getting them to sit right. Thanks for any input.

Prolly been 20 threads about these - you should have done a search before buying

The aftermarket side markers do not have gaskets as OEM, and none of them fit flush (as you have found out).

You can use a small Swiss file to file down the sides of the protruding part that goes into the slot in fender (this is where they are hanging up). I did this and they then fit flush as factory.

But then, 3 weeks later, 1st one, then the other side filled up with condensation - so I put the OEM's back on, ordered a set of LED bulbs for them, and threw the aftermarket ones DIRECTLY IN THE TRASH

Unfortunately, I did not have the benefit of previous experiences, as I got them fairly soon after they came out - but it was definitely a lesson learned...
