How practical are those vented carbon fiber hoods?
I'm planning to get a carbon fiber hood with vents for my E90. My only concern is when it rains, the water can go through the vents and get to the engine bay. How safe is it with vented hoods?

I felt the same. I bought a vented hood and had the vents closed with fiberglass. Personally I don't want water all around the electrical wiring of the headlights and in the engine bay. Tape doesn't stick for too long either and it will come lose. I put my hood up on the EE if your interested.

I've had no problem with rain and I'm going on 4+ months now. I've even spliced my headlight wires to install the daeos kit.

I've had my hood for 6 months + now and i like in raincouver(vancouver) and i haven't noticed any problems with rain getting in it just leaks out thru a couple of randomly placed holes on the engine bay plastic tray.
