Smile Official Vishnu Tuning Single Turbo Thread

Hi guys,
I've posted some new high resolution photos below. And will be posting more pics/videos over the next few days directly to our Facebook page

So if anyone has any tech questions (ones that we can answer at this stage, at least), here's a good place to get them answered. The only questions we can't answer yet is about pricing and power levels. We'll be able to answer those only after some further on-road development/testing. But if you have questions about turbo theory, manifold design, etc,. here's a good place to ask

That looks amazing. Just one question tho. Will you be offering people the choice to go with a dump pipe on the waste gate? Or will this kit Dump back into the exhaust?

This looks pretty bad ass if I have to be honest.

Two questions:

1. Will there be a hardware-only kit option?

2. Is there an oil scavenger pump? Why and why not?

I'm sure we can provide a dump tube for those who want to discharge the wastegate gas to atmosphere. It will be really loud though. Personally, I hate that but YYMV

At this point, we are probably only to provide the system as full package. This means tune, fuel system hardware, meth hardware, boost control hardware, intercooler pipe, intake, etc,. We put a lot of time and resource into developing this kit. We don't want people to install the turbo hardware only, not address the other necessary bits, and blow up their engine.

2. Is there an oil scavenger pump? Why and why not?
Nope, it is not needed. Because a scavenging pump is only required if the turbo is mounted tow. Mounted high enough, gravity is used to route oil from the turbo to the oil pan (just like with the stock turbos).

Looks bad ass. Hopefully it's functional and reliable in the long run. Do you see any problems with maintenance or turbo failures?

You guys should also consider making downpipes.

Very nice! Would you offer any other turbo options? Will the Rev2.5 have enough capability to work with this turbo kit or Rev3.0 is prefered?

Lastly, what's price?

These ceramic ball bearing turbos are very robust. I don't see much in the way of turbo failure. As for the manifold, we took a lot of effort to make the turbo hang in such a way that its weight is distributed evenly over all 6 runners. So the the likelihood of manifold cracking is also pretty slim. And the fabricator used to work for Full Race so he knows a thing or two about building reliable manifolds

No real maintenance issues either. Just use good engine oil and you should be good to go.

We do intend to start manufacturing downpipes once we are further along with the turbo development. But that's in the future.

Either Rev2.5 or 3 will work just fine

It's a Precision ceramic ball bearing turbo with billet compressor and billet turbine wheel. We intend to test at least a couple different turbo configurations before setting on one. When we do, we can give more specs.

it would be cool to have a single downpipe option, as in no split, i guess someone could just cut the split and weld on a single pipe to cat back
