Vinyl wrap the roof?

I have a friend who works at tint shop and they do vinyl wrapping so he offered to do my roof for $180. It\'s a great deal but is it worth not being able to go to a car wash? I live in an apartment, hand washing is difficult for me with no hose. What should I do?

Go to a self-wash place. They have them everywhere here in FL. Just bring a bucket and preferably a wash mitt.

If it is quality vinyl and your roof has places for the vinyl to be tucked you can still go to a car wash.
Best way to keep the vinyl healthy and strong is a hand wash with a soft detailing spray and cloth then going over it with a heat gun. I highly recommend only an experienced installer put a heat gun anywhere near the vinyl.

I started a company that offers partial, full wraps, and lettering/decals.

But is it worth the hassle of having TI hand wash the car versus the convenience of machine washing? Also, I have a spoiler which is applied with 3M tape, will that come off in a machine wash?

I'm sure that's sick. But I would like black because I prefer the look of a painted roof (even when its black vinyl) as apposed to one that's just wrapped with CF Vinyl. Cuz with CF you know it's a wrap, but with gloss black vinyl it looks like paint.
