vinyl Wrap

please let me know if this idea is insane / stupid / insanely stupid.

how about wrapping your car in new color vinyl every 2 / month ? you can have different color car every time and you can have the legendary matte black / matte gray color. i am not really DIY guy / don't want to mess up the thing anyways. but has anyone tried keeping the vinyl for a while and see how it works ? anyone knows if someone does it near san jose ?

please give comments / your thoughts..

A good vinyl wrap job costs approximately $2,000. So, if you can afford to spend that much every two months, go for it. It doesn't harm the paint. If the job is well done, it will last you at LEAST 4-5 years.

Plastic wrap the seats while you are at it, like those sofas of the 1970s.

I know a really good vinyl dude in the south florida area. He just did my window trims and my rear lights, came out clean. He also just did a range rover full matt black and his rims...Here are some pics, i'm actually thinking about doing a full matt black vinyl job on my 3 series myself, i love the way it looks.

I'm torn between flat paint look over gloss paint. I guess I'm old-new school when it comes to paint. Flat look only belongs on project cars waiting to be painted. Let me have shiny paint to wax, makes bugs come off easily. Dont get me wrong, some cars look better in flat, 1932 Ford rat rods

insanely stupid.

lool

it's very hard, my boy wraps cars and I'm going to do it with him. normally places than wrap cars charge you over 2k because there is a lot of wasted of material.. it's hard to wrap it and you have to be diy inclined! good luck. I just ordered my vinyl. wrapping mine white with black roof! gloss everythnig!

and changing colors every 2 months is crazy!! you will never want to rewrap it! every year maybe yes!

Honestly IMO, I would just go with a sick ass paint job.

But then again if you got the money for vinyl wrap for every 2 months then by all means go for it. BAWWLIN!

Gonna wrap my roof gloss black soon.. Depending on how easy or difficult it is, I may try the whole car!
