Brushed Graphite di-noc vinyl

I've been searching through the internet but does anyone know where to buy the 3m di-noc vinyl in brushed graphite? It's the same vinyl seen in this thread. Thanks much.

That appears to be the 3M 1080 Scotch Print Vinyl.

I'm definitely going to bump this thread. I've been looking all over for that vinyl finish and I'm starting to feel like it's just disappeared from the planet and you'll only see scraps being sold here and there in random FS threads. I sense a conspiracy.

Every site that sells the 3M stuff, whether it's Di-Noc or Scotchprint only seems to have the brushed metallic finishes in either gold, blue, black, aluminum, steel,or titanium. It looks like steel comes closes but graphite is darker and has a more pronounced 'brushing'. Wheres BRUSHED GRAPHITE?

Does anyone know a vendor or anybody that sells it?

FYI: I've already inquired with Metrostyling, Stickercity, and Helix and none of them have it.

Here is a close as I could get from Metro. Brushed steel is the closest.

AH HA! After literally days (intermittently, of course) of searching, I think my quest has successfully concluded! I'm pretty sure the 3M vinyl that everyone has been calling "Brushed Graphite" is so hard to find because that's not what 3M calls it. It's actually "Brushed Black Aluminum". But it's not the newer Scotchprint variety that you're showing jeffvb9 (thanks for the help btw), which is pretty darn black. It's Di-Noc and its product code is ME-379. On websites selling it, it looks almost black and is misleading, but it's greyer in reality and I think it's the right stuff.

For the sake of jakuum and anyone that is interested, I'm going to buy a sheet now and I'll post pictures once it comes in to make sure it's the right stuff.

Careful with the application though, the di-noc is considerably stiffer than the helix/1080/oracle pressure sensitive stuff. If whatever you're covering is nice and flat, then do it up! Post pics when you get some in, interested to see it. I've only stocked up on 1080 in the past.

I'm debating between the brushed aluminum, brushed steel, or gloss black with my black interior. Ugh...decisions.. I guess the nice thing is I can always remove it if I dont like it.

I have a small amount of brushed graphite left over. Not sure of the size but you need to get it directly from 3M.

No it's called brushed graphite. I looked this up on my phone so I'm not sure if it's the exact one but like I said you need to order it directly from 3M.

I'm sorry. What I posted above is brushed steel, ME-1435.

Brushed graphite is ME-379.

Brushed black metallic is the scotchprint series vinyl. The above are both di-noc which has moved to 3M architectural division. Scotchprint was made specifically for vehicle wraps.

If you want to purchase the ME-379 type Di-Noc wrap, get it from this guy on eBay (where I got mine) http://www.ebay.com/sch/importcarpar....c0.m270.l1313

It's a very dark gray brushed metal...Not quite black...I would try the black brushed Scotchprint 1080 for that...but if you want an anthracite look, then this is the wrap for you. I personally feel an offer of $4-6/sq. foot is a fair offer to make.

Dinoc is much harder to configure than the 1080 scotchprint.

Pretty sure 3m put an end to Dinoc as well, just FYI.

Well I ordered 12 sq ft of the brushed graphite dinoc from that ebay seller last week, so hopefully I'll have it in the next couple days so I can have my weekend project.

...Of course, my car is at the dealer right now having its wastegate rattle issue addressed and I got confirmation that the parts dept had to order some stuff for this so...new actuators? new turbos? Another week with the loaner?

...I guess I'll have to wait and see. Either way, I'll take some pics of the vinyl and the finished product.

The postman brought me my weekend project today!

The 3M Brushed Graphite Di-Noc looks excellent, exactly the color I had seen in ancient thread posts but could never seem to find. It's pretty dark but by no means black. My interior is black dakota so I'm hoping this provides enough contrast and just looks mean. Stay tuned...

If it doesn't work for me for whatever reason (I know the dinoc is much tougher around corners than Scothprint), I'll probably try the 1080 Brushed Steel Scothprint next and see how that goes.

...you guys like my rug?

Awesome. Thanks for the info and pics guys. I actually ended up ordering some samples from metrorestyling to try and find the vinyl . Samples I ordered were 1080-BR212 (already in the thread) and 1080-BR201. BR212 looks like what I want but wanted to see a different sample as well .

Ok, well I pulled all my trim to start my wrapping project today, but realized I made a stupid mistake. I purchased 48" x 36" of the brushed graphite 3M Di-Noc, which should be enough to wrap all the trim BUT I didn't think to ask which way the brush marks of the metal finish were oriented! Turns out they follow parallel to the 48" standard width, which means if I want the brush marks to go this way == on my dash and doors instead of this way ||||, I only have 36" of vinyl to work with, DEFINITELY not enough. So to anyone that's considering doing this, you need to purchase at least 48" x 48" to make it work with the brushed look making aesthetic sense.

In any event, I figured in the mean time I'd use this on the smaller parts and see how it goes and if it looks good, I'll have to buy more. The Di-Noc isn't super easy to mold around the bends and I've never done this before so I'm a little annoyed about my worksmanship around the edges, but I'm definitely liking the look and finish of brushed graphite on black.
