Clear bra in dallas area?
Hey guys,
Finalizing the purchase of a 1m this week. It has 2800 miles on it so it is pretty much new. I do want to throw a clear bra on it to keep the paint in good shape. Anyone have a good clear bra installer in the DFW area? I live in UP area, so closer would be better but if there is a hands down favorite I don't mind driving. Also, I have never done clear bra on a car...should I get it detailed fully before or will they have a process they do prior to installation that will suffice? Thanks in advance! |

That is not something I really want to try to do. I would much rather have someone else do it perfectly. I also want to be able to decide what I can have covered with the film. Thanks for the reply! |

Check this out.
http://www.shopbmwusa.com/ProductDet...cessories.aspx The film is a BMW accessory and custom cut for the hood, bumper and mirrors. When you put it in your cart, it will ask you for ZIP code. It then shows your local BMW dealer's price. My dealer shows an installed price of only $160. |

Emailed a guy in Dallas. He uses XPEL clear film and I was quoted ~1600 for front bumper, front fenders, hood and mirrors with install plus tax.
He says he has a computer make the film cuts rather than laying the film over the car then cutting with a razor. What is the preferred method? And is $1600 installed a decent price for that kind of coverage? Let me know what you guys think. I want to do it right, but don't want to get cheated on the price. Thanks |
