320d post remap performance drop off part 2.>!
Well some of you may have read the first installment regarding a drop off in performance after a remap for my E90.
Just an update, contacted the mapper, very courtious was more than happy to look at it but i said i would give it a few more weeks and see if it was just me etc. plus i was going to barbados for a week so after driving round in a mini moke it may well feel quick again. I had 2 - 3 fill ups after the remap first BP ultimate (car felt very good) Shell (felt a bit off). When returning from holiday I then put some Esso diesel in and i sort of noticed that the performance was like when i first got it mapped. After a few runs to work outdragging a colleuges E320 and an RX8 then my feeling is that it must be going OK. Been filling with BP ultimate last two times and seems to go well. I recently had a dabble with a brand new 325d E92 and pulled a car lengths or two on that. I have come to the conclusion that the percieved issue was either my brain getting used to the performance or that i had a dodgy batch of fuel (Shell) and the car after running this through with a new tank or two has got back to where it was. I havent rolling roaded the car and in fact dont know many that have so i not worried about exact numbers. I must also say that i was dissapointed that a lot of people on here where very quick to dismiss or discredit the mapper when in fact it seems there is nothing wrong with their work. Have to also say that their customer service is second to non. |

They give everyone the warrenty.
Regards hp then its also about the torque / power curve, from what i remeber (peppernicks car) there was still some work to go as there were a few dips bottom end upto 2k and top end 4k plus hp was lower than std. There is a review in BMW car of a DMS 335d last month maybe worth buying if you can get you hand on it. |

I now find that racing other cars on the roads is boring: it's just too easy, especially with an auto box. All I have to do is floor the throttle and I blow everyone else into the weeds.
