Cape Cod recommendations..
Was thinking of getting away this weekend to Cape Cod. Haven't been there yet..
Any favorite places to stay, places to dine, entertainment, beaches, etc? Thought it'd be a good weekend while it's not the season yet.. I'd like to make hotel reservations in the next few days of possible.. Thanks in advance..

josh.....friday, you gonna have MAD traffic, I'll recommend driving up there after 7pm
there are numerious beaches (I don't remember any off my head), you can do whale watching, fishing, bike riding, etc.....is all outdoor activities. Is not a great place for entertaiments but more to relax and enjoy the weather. I usually do 1 day trips, only time I stay over night was camping back when I was younger if you golf...they have some really nice golf courses Oh, Provincetown aka P-town is for gay ppl unless you swing that way... but my gf likes shopping there

hey Josh.I live right before the sagamore bridge but im always so busy I dont have time to do the cape cod thing.I think falmouth would be a good place to stay for a couple of days. The beach I usually go to is old silver beach. There is a resort called seacrest thats on the beach. Its a good place stay because its close to a lot of things and you wont have to find a place to park.Which can be a bitch. You could go to one of the state forests for a walk in sandwich, or go to the boardwalk which is on the beach.Theres a cool restaurant that was called horizons thats on the water. You could stay at a place called the belfrey in sandwich too.I actually had my wedding reception there. If you can find a place to stay in sandwich that would be good too.Go to the beach, take a nice walk, get some lobster rolls somewhere, go out for icecream, then go see a movie.Main street in falmouth will have all sorts of places to drink, eat dinner, and walk around.Lots of people and good food.Tons of shit you can do.There are lots of places to go at night.I go to the courtyard in cataumet right off 28a, some cool bands and a lot of summer people.Tons of shit you can do just make sure you do some research and have a plan so you dont waste precious time.Get out of the fuckin city for a bit.you should do it more often.Oh, taking a bike ride on the canal can be cool, and maybe do some fishing.I live right off the canal. The seafood shanty on scenic highway has good lobster rolls and you can eat outside on the picnic tables.I hope this helps.MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PLAN! word...and im out.

Im sure there might be some better places further down. The stuff I recommended doing is the same thing I do with my wife on saturdays when its nice out and it always ends up being a perfect day.I think you will waste too much time going further down.Plus it can get rediculously expensive.have fun. If you see a crazy white 335i with 19 in 230's on it thats me

Fotios - quick question. The resorts you mentioned look real nice. The rates are still more reasonable as it isn't the season. They're both pretty much right as you enter Cape Cod? What's it like futher out, towards the tip. Does it get nicer as you get further out or no? For example, what is harwich, orleans and brewster like?
Thanks in advance.. Josh

thats probably a good idea.Otherwise like I said before you'll spend most of the time traveling.Hyannis main street is fun, traffic is awful during the daytime.

Speaking of lobster rolls, ever go to the Raw Bar at the Popponesset Marketplace?

I was going to mention that but I figured it would be difficult to find.We go there like once every other week with our friends in the summer.Best and biggest lobster roll anywhere.I think they cost like 28.00.

We really prefer P-town when we're traveling down to the Cape. It's such a small area and everything is available, B&Bs, hotels, incredible scenery, great shopping, shows, movie theater, bike trails, awesome restaurants.
We find it much more relaxing than Hyannis or some of the areas further west. |

Make reservations by the end of the day...
Make reservations by the end of the day... Make reservations by the end of the day... Make reservations by the end of the day... I'm going to forget.. I can feel it.. And if I don't have a plan, Fotios is going to hit me with his car..
