Oil indicator bar half way?

I was checking the oil level via the dash indicator and it showed the bar halfway. Does this mean I need to add oil or I'm halfway due to my next oil change?

means your oil is not full. don't add until that bar is all the way down. when the bar is all the way down it means you need to add one quart.

It means you are a half quart low.

I had that happened to me once, I just added a full quart and it's good to go.

mine usually goes like that when i'm running really hard. Check the coolant levels as well, i found out mine was low and since then, for some reason, never had a problem with oil burning since
