Question What's the best in-cabin micro air filter?

I purchased a Mann-Filter for my '08 328xi. Seems to be just fine. Any other recommendations? What does the dealership install?

I've used both the Mann and the Bosch with activated charcoal. Appear to work equally as well.

A dealer will charge well over $100 for a micro filter. Buy an OEM and do it yourself, it's not hard.

Used a mann 35 bucks online

I don't think this is a critical issue as long as it fits as far as which one you use.

I used a Mann that I got from autohauz. If I remember I did have to pay for shipping but still cheaper than amazon...

Seriously, it's ridiculous.
I think I got a Mann filter for around $25 from Amazon. It took 5 minutes to remove the four screws and put the new one in.

I did install a Mann filter. It seems to be working well. It's just a general question… I'm trying to learn all I can about my car and what others have done. Thanks for posting on this thread!

I too bought a Mann from Amazon.com for less than $25. Very easy to install and worth it compared to what the service cost after zero cost maintenance.

Mann is one of the OEM so it's the same as buying the BMW branded one for a lot less money. Same with oil filters.
