New wheels!!!! (wedssport)

The season of modding is upon us! The weather has been awesome, so I pulled my baby out of storage yesterday and got to work. These wheels have waited very patiently in their cardboard confines - today they got introduced to their new home! Now I gotta get rid of that front wheel gap..

Wheels:
wedssport SA-55M
Front: 9.5" et24 (21.9lbs)
Rear: 10.5" et24 (22lbs)

Rubber:
conti extremecontact DW
Front: 265/30/19
Rear: 285/30/19

This weekend the akra goes on.

Think they look great and once you get rid of that wheel gap, even better.

Perfect Fitment!!! A little drop and you'll be sitting at the perfect stance. Great choice on the wheels... I have the same setup. Time to post some akra videos!

No rubbing at full lock, but over bumps while turning I've noticed occasional rubbing. Pulling the camber pins will hopefully get rid of this - when the V3's are installed I'll find out.

Thanks bro Vids pending, but I did grab one quick pic. Gotta give a shout out to Rich at GTB performance for the great price and service.

Opted out on the wireless kit, so I grinded off the plug to get the full experience. Was kinda surprised that the fitment wasn't perfect on the midpipe coming off the downpipe - the flanges mated up fine, but the other end of the midpipe connecting to the resonator pipe didn't line up perfectly and required a bit of muscling to get on. Not sure if this is how they all are?

Anyways, the sound is wild and deep and LOUD above 3k rpm. WOT has become addicting.

I am in the search for a set of new wheels for my 1M. I have come across Ã* set with Ã* front spec 19x9,5 Et 20. When i look at youre pictures i get a bit worried.. Can i have a wheel that sits 4mm out in the wheel arch more than yours?

Are you looking at TE37's with that offset? My front wheels are ever so slightly beyond flush, so I would be concerned with running 9.5" ET20 in the front. You'll almost certainly require neg camber to bring them in otherwise you'll be poking out. Rubbing will definitely be an issue dropped. This is assuming you use 265 tires - if you go for major stretch with a 245 you could be fine.

Tire type also plays a big roll - I went with conti extremecontact DW because of the rounder sidewall. I wanted to go PSS but they're a bit too beefy with my plans to lower this summer.

Once it stops snowing I'll grab some side shots and close-ups of the wheels.
