Angel Eyes, again
First time poster here, and I'm hoping to get some clarification on some things after a lot of searching.
I have a 2007 E92 and the driver's side angel eyes have gone out for the second time in two years now. And before that I was getting an intermittent light out warning on the dash, but I've looked at all my lights and I don't see that any are out besides the AEs... 1. What's the easiest route to go about replacing the angel eyes? Should I just have the dealer do it (warranty expired obviously)? DIY? Stock bulbs or something else? Is it normal for the bulbs to die that soon? 2. Any ideas what the other caution light could have been for? Just a precursor to the angel eyes dying or something unrelated? Sorry for rehashing this topic, but it's difficult getting a straight answer with so many threads to dig through. |

Definitely go LUX, just installed mine today and I couldn't be happier!

Take it to a dealer to determine the cause. There are 4 Bulbs that could be involved.

Not sure of how often these burn out. I wouldn't think it should be that often. I wouldn't know I guess since I'm on my 4th set of Angels. I said screw the bulbs and went all out with Umnitza.
But either way, the bulb is "Easy" to do yourself. It's just getting in that tight ass spot (that designer of this should be beat in the face). If you have small hands, it's much easier. You'll have cuts when you get done. Just search the DIY section on how to change them..

Thanks for the responses. I'll probably go ahead and replace them with the lux bulbs. If that doesn't solve the other warning lamp then I'll just continue to ignore it light I have been.
