Needing help. Dropped my car. Now have some lights on, on the dash.
Just dropped my e92 a couple days ago and, after about 30 minutes of driving, some of the lights came on, on my dash.
On my dash: brake light is orange, 'suspension control system failed' logo is orange, and 'drive assistant has failed' shows up when I turn on my car also. My cruise control and dtc also doesn't work. Does anyone know what these means? Can anyone help? Having lights on the dash and not having cruise control is kind of irritating. Thanks! Edit: Okay so I took my car to BMW and they recalibrated it and the lights were all off, cruise control and everything works again BUT as soon as I drove it off the lot, my steering wheel started shaking. Had them recheck and they think it's because of my slightly bent wheel in the rear driver side. Why would the steering wheel shake? Haven't drove the car for a couple of days just to be careful. Today I decided to give it a shot again. It shook again but only a couple times then completely stopped. So I drive on for awhile thinking what the hell, it's ok now? But then those lights on the dash came back on. Anyone know anything about this? Last edited by midwest king; 04-09-2012 at 09:21 PM.. Reason: More info. |

The steering wheel might shake while driving for a number of reasons:
-Alignment off -Wheel needs balancing -Bent wheel as the dealer suspects I saw you got in an accident a few months back ... that doesn't help narrow down the list of variables. The suspension work might not have anything to do with the lights being on. Could you elaborate more on 'dropped'? Was it shocks/springs or just springs or ... ? Where did you get the suspension work done?
