Very Hot Console near ashtray
Hi everyone I've recently noticed that the console near ashtray and transmission tunnel get very hot almost to hot to the touch is this normal for a 2006 330i 6speed man.

Not normal. Unless you're out in the hot sun, the interior pieces should never heat up like you describe. Take it to a dealer or someone who can properly diagnose it.

Interesting, I have the same issue on my 330i 6MT. Thought it was weird but never got it checked out. Please let me know what you find out.

My 330d gets hot where your describing at odd times. Never too hot to touch though - just surprisingly warm!

It usually happens when you are using heat, and you have the rear vents set to "heat" or red on the dial at the back. Turn it to cool/blue or half way, it will stop.
The hotness is due a duct that is carrying hot air to the back seats. |

I posted about the same issue with my '11 335i. Gets very hot near the area where my calf is near the center tunnel just above the gas pedal.

+1. Just close the back vents and turn them to 1/2 way between the hot and cold.

Normal, do what LuxAngelEyes said. BTW nice to see you reinstated your account, even if I do think your stuff is overpriced you definitely shouldn't have had your vendor status taken away.
