Scratched wheel ... 343M F10 M5

So this just happened today, i was wondering if i have a "do-it yourself" option with some products, or do i need to take it in to see if they can fix it?

Thanks

I don't think 'they' can do it, let alone yourself. I have a similar scratch and easiest thing to do is to live with it. It's not a toy, it's a car and scratches and hits are bound to happen sooner or later.

buy a set of HRE wheels, P40s , then use the old one as winter tire rims

wait a sec, you are from Australia, so you guys dont even have winter....
try asking tire/rim shop, they probably could fix it for you, in canada it charge about 200 dollers

Agree! That's how i see it too. It's only when we learn to be relaxed about the ownership that we can truly enjoy the car.

Don't stress too much I bet it doesn't look a bad from regular viewing distance. But if you want it like new it looks like something a wheel repair shop should be able to machine out easily. They can work some magic.

More photos of the car please it looks alpine white? Any thoughts on the new car?

There's no way to fix it... Replacement is a good option

Not true. A wheel repair shop might be able to resurface that.

After buffing it out with a special liquid, the Rim is back to its original color, if you really see closely you can see the scratch, but its not that noticeable at all anymore. So im ok with it.

As many of you said, Im not going to stress over it, im just going to enjoy my beautiful car.

Many more pictures and a review coming up soon!

Good point, I have also seen some companies that can refinish the RIM to look new. So if you can got it under control, great stuff, just know there are firms out there that can fix this stuff.

That's good news! Which product did you use? Maybe I can cover up my minor scratches too

That's the trouble with machined rims - you can't just repaint like you can with the regular alloys. I've damaged a couple on other cars. One was fixable and the other had to be replaced after a lot of trying. Personally, I hate wheel scratches and can't live with them. I've tried to but I just can't....

if the car was older i'd leave it, but a scratch like that on a brand new car would piss me off as well. Rim repair shop can easily fix that up for 100 bucks
