iDrive "Entertainment" Freeze

Last night the "Entertainment" portion of my iDrive froze. It continued playing my iPod through the 6FL option, but wouldn't let me change tracks or change the source to FM, AM, or CD. Then I tried pressing one of my FM memory buttons which caused the display of my memory button settings to become frozen across the bottom of my screen.

I was able to adjust the volume and pause the iPod but that was it. However, everything in Navigation, Climate, & Communications worked just fine.

I unplugged my 6FL cables and restarted my car numerous times, but nothing changed. Finally, this morning everything was back to normal.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I had my iDrive freeze on the "warning" screen. Next morning everything was fine. Damn computers.

This has happened to me once, and was quickly fixed with a reboot of the system (Eject-Eject-Mute)

It's an ongoing problem with my system where it simply won't boot. The three-finger salute doesn't work, either. The only thing that seems to work for me is time. I park it for ten or fifteen minutes and when I start up again it's working fine...for another week or two.

Sounds like a good poll question. Electronic problems of this kind are often due to the power supply. I suspect this is the cause in this case.
