Interior LED light installation

Hi guys. I have an e92 that I just finished installing interior LED lights. I broke a piece that I need to replace but I don't know what it's called so I'll try to explain.....it's not any of the LEDs, I was replacing the map lights and I bent the prong inside that the LED is supposed to be pushed into. It wouldn't go in for the life of me and the bent piece just broke. It's a white plastic piece inside the dome/map lights with prongs that the LED plugs into. I hope I explained it right and someone gets the piece I'm talking about. I need to know where to get a replacement piece to be able to put the LED in. Thanks!

Like the female plug the bulb goes in to? Unscrewable from the dome light housing Yeah, You can get that from the dealer...it's super cheap, a buck or two...

Part No. 63258389736

I just did this too. Good luck with the dealer -- one tried to sell me the entire dome for $150.

The part that you need is the socket that can be bought online for $2.42. I got a couple from ECS. I know this schematic isn't for an e92, but this is the right part (despite being black rather than white plastic). Otherwise, search for the part no.

Good luck.

Take a good look at the instruction for removing the dome light assembly. It's really easy after watching the videos.

BTW: This is where I initially found the part no.: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333829

Some of the cheaper led interior kits (no offense) use a domelight that has a plug a little too large, it's causing a lot of people frustration.

If anyone wants to upgrade to a better dome light that fits properly let me know.

Yes dealer has replacement part for a few bucks.
