Performance Steering Blue Stripe

I'm close to pulling the trigger on the M3 Performance wheel with blue stripe.

The stock pictures shows it mates up with both LCI and pre-LCI cover plates.

Can anyone confirm if the OEM M3 cover will fit with our E90 M-sport airbag / M-sport wheel?

Also, has anyone done the swap on an E90 LCI (non-M3)? Can the LCI paddles be reused? Is this really plug and play? I saw the DIY for M3 and 1er's, but maybe haven't searched enough for E90 LCI.

Thank you in advance.

Yeah you'll be fine with any of the wheel trims.

I will have the OEM alacantara trim up for sale too.

Bump - anybody install this wheel on their E90 LCI? Would retrofit be necessary or is it straight swap - my car is wired for paddles, but not DCT.

I installed the Blue M Performance Steering wheel with the DCT paddles on a 2010 M-Sport E90 335i. It was a straight swap.

DCT paddles worked perfectly.

I read somewhere on another thread that 2011+ models require some re-wiring of the M DCT paddles, due to the new style of the Steptronic paddles on these models. 2011+ models don't have the thumb-push style paddles, but instead look like the M DCT paddles, where left paddle is down, and right paddle is up in the gears.

^ yep, I think this is the alteration needed:
swap pins 2 and 3 on the left connector and pins 1 and 2 on the right connector
