hi,
i plan to put red led lights inside the vents for the glow effect. can someone tell me where can i power from? I need to come on with the rest of the interior lights at night. Thank you. |

well, the idea is to have the leds inside the vents, so one should not tell there are leds in there just nice warm red glowing at night. that's all nothing crazy, just more ambient

You can use an add-a-circuit to tap into the fuse box behind the glove compartment, and just figure out which one is active when you want it to be. That being said, I don't think it will achieve the look you want. Specifically, unless you make an even ring, you'll see a brighter point at wherever the LEDs are located. Secondly, the vents were not designed to house LEDs, so I think it will just look exactly what it sounds like - someone shining a light down into the vent. It will bounce off the walls and be uneven. Now if you took the time to go for a proper "back-lit", ambient effect, it might look half-way decent, but I think you'll still get crap for it
