Vishnu/FFTEC Single Turbo: Boost Response
Hi guys,
For the last couple of days, we have been finalizing the calibration of the single turbo mapping for 6AT cars. As of today, we have working maps for both 58mm and 62mm turbo options. This morning, I did some low RPM, 4th gear pulls on the highway and was presently surprised by how quickly these new CEA turbos spool up. Below is a log from a 62mm CEA single turbo kit from Sikh335's 6AT. It showed a full 15psi as early as ~3200RPM when loaded up on the street in a higher (4th) gear. Ran out of room on the road (due to traffic) to take it much higher but a full 20psi comes in at 3500rpm. Which is pretty remarkable for a larger frame turbo capable of supporting well over 700whp (dynojet)! 6AT 62MM Single Turbo: I will soon be doing the same test on another 6AT running the smaller frame 58mm CEA turbo and will post up the results later. Cheers shiv |

Pretty well considering we have put over 10k miles of testing/racing on our own already high mileage 335. I don't think many customers will subject their car to the concentrated (ab)use our test car has seen over the last few months.

Great spool up in the higher gears. How's the transient response on throttle lift shifts?

There are so many clear attributes that this kit has that set it apart from any other option. One thing I will say right now is that the transmission is happier now than it was with 500ftlbs on it. I drove the car for an hour today and will be commuting with it tomorrow. My plan is for this car to be my true commute daily driver, about 100 miles a day minimum. More to come
