Question JB4 install

I have been leaning towards the cobb but I've read that jb4 is a little stronger. I just dont feel comfortable messing with the electronics of this car. How much do you guys think someone would charge to install?

Do you guys agree about JB4 being a little stronger? I have watched youtube videos and read reviews. I do the like the fact that cobb is so easy to install. But is it really worth that much if this will do the same.

I was a little scared too. But after reading reviews and the instructions it really is not that hard. Took me about an hour the first time. I can have it out and buttoned back up in 15-20 now.

I know what I can get the cobb for through Jeff at top gear solutions. How much is the JB4 going for and will they discount the price?

everyone is right, try it yourself. if it were downpipes or an intercooler, let a shop do it unless you have the proper equipment to be SAFE while underneath you car etc, and theres not much to go wrong with something like downpipes at all. with a tune or methanol kits etc id say do it yourself so that you know the wiring and steps requires to looks over if there is a problem. its VERY easy. i myself tend to overanalyze instructions bc they are much easier than i expect amd het carried away. just follow the steps and youll be okay. have a friend help out too for a second mind and set of hands i you have an issue.

Thanks guys. I'm leaning more to the jb4 now because of the price. How much is the jb4 going for and who has the best price?

Try the install yourself. Its not too hard. I can even give you my phone number and walk you through it if you run into any issues

Look around the classifieds. People are selling them for around $400 average. I just sold mine last week and I'm actually thinking about purchasing one again. The "on the fly" tuning is a really neat and convenient feature. I recommend

If you have access to e85 I would definetly go with the Jb4, the new map5 is awesome. As far as the install, its pretty simple and there is both written instructions and video's you can watch. I started out with cobb, but couldn't wait any longer for meth/e85 maps and didn't want to spend money on a protune. Make sure you get the usb cable so you can update firmware and datalog.

Go with JB4 from Burger tuning. Can't say enough about the customer service there. You will never look back.

Plus 1 on the easy install. And plus 2 on the fly by map switching.

Fun as hell is all I can say. And yes, Mike will help you out if need be. I txt'd him several times lol (poor guy).

I can now install/remove in 15-20mins. Enjoy!

Stock to Tuned is gonna be a huge difference (regardless of which specific tune you choose). Enjoy that first ride, be shocked with how much power the N54 had hiding

I'd say wait until you put the JB4 in first. You'll be surprised at the difference from stock to map 1. Then if you can update it to the latest firmware and if you have E85 in your area do a mix of E85 and 93 octane and run map 5.

I don't have them yet, but I think this is one of the first mods recommended along with intake. If you live somewhere with hot temps you might want to consider an intercooler.

Lots of options man

DP's will help with turbo flow and extra power as it'll spool quicker and feel smoother
