yea but if the plug was fouled wouldn't the misfire remain on cylinder number 5 n not move to 1 when I switched coils?

Im still under cpo and extended maintenance plan n the cbs says I'm due for plugs in about 1000 miles so i just wanna fix my current problem n let the dealer change everything when I go for plugs.
I'm gonna put the bad coil back in rite before I take it to the dealer n let them change then also under warranty.
maybe I can switch the bad coil in multiple cylinders n they'll change all of the when they see the code lol

not saying the plug was causing your misfires. it's just something you may as well check and replace

If u moved the coil from 5 to 1 and then misfire moves to 1 it's the coil but if ur due for maintaince ur fine.

i get your point but im trying to say that if coil caused the misfire which it did and it also fouled plug when i switched coils and not plug the misfire shouldve been on both number 5 original misfire and on number 1 because i moved bad coil to number1.
my test cured number 5 which means only coil was bad n plug is fine since its not misfiring anymore....
thanks for ur help anyways
