The "h" means the code is older, if you drop it you'll find:

2DC3:
2DC3 Control clamp 15
Error will not cause a warning light
Error is not currently present
Test conditions have been completed
Timeout

2E8D:
2E8D Intelligent battery sensor, signal transmission
Error will not cause a warning light
Error is currently present
Test conditions have been completed
Short circuit or signal interruption

Have you done anything "electrical" to your car lately? Clear them with your AP and see if they come back. The 2E8D code might, I threw some code like that one (not sure if that was the exact one) last year when I kept my AP plugged in overnight and my battery tried to "protect" itself. Only the dealer could erase it.

Yes I have been leaving my old iPhone plugged in since last month, maybe the current draw is too much?

It could be if your battery is aging. After unplugging it, did you try clearing the codes? If so, see if they come back because the "h" sort of makes me think you're not having these issues right now.
