Stock Xenon - what temp?
easy question for those smarter than me. What 'K' are the stock Xenon headlamps? Do we have the 4,500 version, 6,000? thanks.
They seem very 'white' - just curious if they can be improved by purchasing soemthing else. |

Well technically the higher the "k" the less light is produced.
I believe they make 3000k - 20000k, maybe higher, but those are the highest I've seen. 6000k - 8000k look the best IMO and still have great output. And yes, the stockers are 4300k, I'm 99% sure of that. |

Stock is 4300 kelvin like others have stated. If you want something white, you should just stay in this range. 6000k will have a light blue look. 8000k will have a slight purple look. And anything above 8000k is just overkill since your light output is DRAMATICALLY decreased.

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. I'll use my search and figure out how to get some 6k bulds in there with fogs to match.
Now I'm looking for the right vendor to ship these ASAP for a DIY install tomorrow, thurs or Friday. Tips welcome - and I'll be searching on here too. |
