Chrome Interior Trim Installation Help
So I ordered some chrome trim pieces for the headlight dial, mirror dial, and heat controls from styling-group uk. I received the pieces with instruction in German......and each piece had a tiny piece of sticky tape that was probably a 1/2" wide and an 1.5" long. It's too wide to cover the interior edge of the chrome and too short to circle the entire chrome diameter.
Perhaps some of you in the UK or others that have done this sort of thing can help share how to install these pieces. I pop them into the outer rims of the dials but they just fall right out without the tape, of course. thanks for any help.

I figured out how to do this. Basically, you buy a little interior trim glue from the auto supply store and apply the glue with a toothpick around the inner cavity of the chrome pieces. This is a permanent modification if you decide to use glue, which I did. You can use the 3M tape for a temporary mod.
Here are some pictures from my final installation this evening. I think it turned out pretty good. Total cost for all pieces was US$93 + $10 shipping from the UK. I ordered all pieces from: http://www.styling-group.co.uk/produ...me/e90int.html

That's correct. The mods are the chrome rings. The brushed aluminum in the pictures was not modified.

I ordered the same parts and although they look noice I was a bit disappointed for the price.
- instructions in German fo a sale in the US - light switch ring not contoured as the switch face it so cannot mount without bending and fussing with it - door locks should be threaded the same as the factory ones are they provide some glue to install them with Look nice but ........ not really worth the cost and issues in installation so if you buy these beware !!
