Should I let the dealership prep my car on delivery?

I heard that some dealership mess up paint with poor wash/polishing technique after the car deliver to them. Has anyone had any experience? Should I ask my CA not to prep the car? I am planning to do Opti-coat and wonder if I should just let my detailer polish the car without dealer touching it.

Here are some pictures of a brand new Alfa Romeo that was dealer prepped... http://www.driveandshine.co.uk/wordp...er-correction/

With Alpine WHite you may be ok, but there's always a chance the guy at the dealership doesn't know what they're doing or has dropped a sponge/cloth on the floor before using it on your new car.

My 2006 E90 was a ED and the paint was perfect when we picked it up at Munich. But when I pick up from the local dealership, it was noticeable amount of swirl mark under the sun even though it is a Alpine white. I think I will call my dealership and ask them not to prep my car this time.

Any other recommendation? I will receive my car at the latest next week. If I don't get my car prep by the dealer, should I wax it when I receive it or no need?

What does the prep from the dealer includes anyway?

Prior to my delivery last month I specifically asked the dealership NOT to prep the car except to remove the plastic and wash off the dust etc.

Upon delivery I took it to my local guy for a "proper" wash and detail.
