N55 in X3

I didn't post this in the X3 area because, well, it looks like no one really looks for stuff like this in that section too much.

I was wondering if there will be a tune or other small mods coming out for that motor. I know its a N55 but there are just a few changes from what i understand; ECU and intake en such.

Im picking up a X35I in the near future, so i was just wondering if I should go with the N55 or the new 2.0 Turbo in the X328i.

Eric.

I believe someone has a jb3 working on a x3. After getting one on some warranty work I looked into it, I liked it overall, but a decent tune for it would be nice.

I actually enjoy the JB3 on my X3 35i msport and it makes night and day difference with only a tune

Only problem is that the air/fuel sensor went bad on my first time to install the JB3. After it got replaced everything is good so far.

Even the E9x with N55 has only limited possebility of tunes...

JB is one of them, Procede is a mess, BMW has a soft tune and... ehm... thats it...

The development with the N20 looks very promising. Less overall power than the N55, but the N55 tuning looks like a little stale at the moment. Maybe that will change however.

it works well - not like gains on the n54 but good for tune only nonetheless. The 35i based SAV's will never be fast but the tune helps for sure.

JB N55 Stage 1 Tune works on the X3

Not sure what impact the X3 drivetrain will have on performance, but you should see around +40 HP/50 TQ. If you can, an intake (drop-in filter) and BP mite be another way to juice out a few more ponies

+1 the upcoming N20 tuning scene looks like more fun and possible future support

Who is tuning the N20 that you know of? I drove the X28i, I liked it a lot.

From what i have herd, Dinan for the X35i is coming out in September.

Same standard tuning groups --- BMS, Vishnu, AA, Dinan, COBB eventually (need to get an N55 tune out 1st)

As far as I know BMS is the only one tuning the N20 as of this moment:
