Black 397 style wheels

hi guys,
newbie here, I'm waiting for my newly ordered 328 sportline to arrive, I believe it comes with 397 style wheels, has anyone made the wheels black? I am wondering how this will look. I've gone for the Alpine White. thanks.

I think you'll lose the detail of the wheels if you paint them black. They have a two tone finish with gunmetal between the spokes.

I'm leaning toward a similar arrangement. I like the look of black wheels on white cars. Did you consider swapping out the stock wheels with another brand? Some dealers will accommodate that (and take a few $ for the trouble).

Reason why I ask is that instead of leaving the stock wheels in the garage gathering dust like what I previously done a few times, maybe just paint the wheels black and reuse the wheels, since the 18" size is probably large enough, ant the look of the wheels is also not bad, i thought.

just paint them with plasti-dip so you can remove the look if you don't like it; that's my plan for my 335i sport.
