Wow that was a pain!!

So I was just taking off my JB4 so that I cant send it to Terry to get upgraded to the 15ohm board and when I unplugged my battery, I closed my trunk...I've done this install/uninstall over 50 times between my 07' and my 10' but I've never closed the trunk till now and what a mistake! I first tried taking out my rear seats in my LCI but that wasn't working so I found the positive terminal under the hood which is located next to the windshield wiper fill up. I used an extra battery I had laying around to give my car enough juice so that I could pop the trunk. What a pain tho! I never realized that closing the trunk would make my life so difficult lol Just thought I'd share this so that people don't make the same mistake as me. DON'T CLOSE THE TRUNK AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY!!!

I have heard this horror story before. Any time I think there is any remote chance I could get locked out I open all the windows and lower a seat, just cuz I know I will have a WTF moment eventually!

Has anyone tried a tv or computer repair shop? If you show them the 15 ohm diagram on n54 tech, I'm sure it would be a very simple, quick job. I have never soldered and am not willing to learn on my JB4!

My 07' E90 335i used to have a trunk key hole but my 2010 E90 M 335i 100% does not have a trunk key hole.

To be honest I'm glad my LCI doesn't have one. Today was a pain but it's a easy fix now that I know how.

Been there. I ended up using a jumper box to give it enough juice to pop the trunk. I now lower a seat every time as well.

I am glad mine came with the keyhole at the trunk. Added security for situations like that especially I am always doing crap to my car.
