Alarm System
Hello
I lease a 328i S ...and since it’s a lease, then in theory its BMW property. I asked BMW USA to install an Alarm system after my lease...I told them I want to safe guard the car as a BMW asset ...but they refused the install...can we share some thought on that ? |

In these days unless if you have alot of liquid assets, you cannot avoid paying interest (Haram from what I understand) |

I have a BMW 2000 328i and a 2004 525i, and have always owned BMW since E21 and forward. I have never got a car that did not have an alarm system. It was always a standard option . I think it’s a good deterrent to beep the car just before you leave it parked, especially at night or at rail stations. FYI alarms kind tell thieves think twice ...I will scream at you!
So why ...and in what book you do not protect a 50k + asset with no more that $200 alarm? The insurance sure will cover everything under the sun..But why not mitigate the risk? Why not tell a BMW owner “We care about your stuff in our LEASED cars“ cus they simpley don't !! they made the sale ! BMW goofed on that one. Trying to be skimpy...instead of spending so much on developing the G4 that no one really needs and drove the price on the 3 to around 40-50k from 26k or so (if we wanted a coupe ...we would have bought one) ..Why not install Alarms in their cars? I hope my voice will not get smuthered and go unheard ! |
