HID in Halogen(Worked!with PIC)

Just installed the HID kit on my 2012 320i, no flickering and no system malfunction code. I bought the kit from this ebay seller for $35 bucks. Make sure you order the H7R kit, the R kit is supposedly designed for halogen headlights to reduce glare. Here is the advice for those of you having trouble removing the H7 bulb. make sure you leave the connector connected to the bulb, then you hold onto that and pull the bulb out by tilting the bulb from the bottom. my left side came out quite easy, then the right side is a little tight. I believe the H7 bulb is pressed fit into the bulb holder.

Also installed the LED Parking lamp. no error either.

The non xenon cars dont have projectors... its reflector housings. Did you purchase projectors and install them yourself? I have a 320, I wish it had projectors at least

sorry guys, didn't know you guys are that desperate for pictures. will update some on the weekend. I've also purchased a set of LED bulb to replace the parking light. purchased a set, and it showed an error code, the seller gave me a refund, then i purchased another set from a different seller, just received them the other day and they had no problem.

hello, you're right about the projectors, that the non xenon cars don't have projectors. that's why i ordered the H7R bulbs, this R type is designed for non projector lights to reduce glare. I've noticed inside the headlight housing, there's a metal shield of some sort sitting around the light bulb, i believe that's for glare too.

im sure the HID kit i've installed didn't produce a glare for sure. the color is quite crisp, from a distance away, i could still see the amber in the turning lights. (my friend had a toyota yaris with HID, it produces so much glare, at night when you drive towards it, it's like you're looking directly into the sun)

very nice, but could you post more picts that is further away from the car? Maybe like 5-10 feet in distance. Its kind of hard to tell how it looks like if its too close. Thanks in advance!

I'm not a professional photographer, but i think from a distance away, even cars with projector will look glared in the picture.

The reason i post this thread is not because i'm trying to sell the kit or make a profit myself, just thought that instead of seeing people spend $150 or more for something that does the same thing, i would've helped because i only spend $35.

Thanks for the pics!

I think I'll be going with Morimoto's, but not 100% sure. May be one of those $150 options you mentioned but the quality looks excellent.

IMHO 6k meets OEM best. And performance of 6k is better than 8k in terms of lumen etc.

Thanks!

An HID Kit in the Halogen Headlights is a must. Just installed an HID Kit for a customer in the headlights & fog lights. No errors and it looks great.

Due to the camera lens the color in the headlights and fog lights look a little off, in reality they are both identical in color. We went with 6000k which is white with a small tint of blue.

That looks really clean!

Are there HID's in red? Or do I just have to do a regular red bulb?
I am thinking of putting red for my fog lights.
