the car is bricked!
ok guys, this is very frustrating.
i was looking into internet trying to find updated INPA program to clear codes air bag light. i did download some files from a thread in e90post but did not work. anyways, i did not code anything i only wiggled with inpa, and new inpa i downloaded. i also tried bmwloggers program but did not get any codes from there too i gave up, took my cable out, started car. now all the error comes on, rpm shifts from 1-3 rapidly, what could be wrong? i mean i did not code anythin tho |

Were you in INPA or NCS?
You need fresh installs and try to reset everything to defaults. Sounds like you may have reset adaptations. Have you tried going for a drive? This thread needs to be stickied as to why you should not mess with powerful programs without having a firm understanding of what you're doing. |

Hi Grant, the problem is, I am confused right now. With NCS, I am 99% sure I did not click F3 execute job button when close NCS. With INPA, I downloaded multiple INPA program and ran it with cable hooked up. diagnose was failed, but I do not think I did something there. All I did tried was going to kaser > airbag > tried to retrieve code that's all, but error box kept came up. Could you briefly explain how to reset everything? I do have my original file. *As of right now, I am working to fresh install NCS again, but new error box keep come up about win32.dll and such and such, I will figure this out and let you guys updated. I don't think I can sleep. |

RPM shift 1-3 rapidly and its not just rpm. Car accelates itself while doing that, so I can't even drive it. |

*Only error I have now is CEL, CEL do not appear in iDrive tho. I can't get INPA or NCS work now so clearing CEL myself isn't going to work. |

This probably doesn't help but to read/clear errors I do the following. Or a simple module reset would've cleared errors provided there's no faulty hardware. You must have pressed something while in inpa.. Sorry and good luck.
EDIT.. ok glad your car is working now. LOL 1 -Start INPA 2-Press F9 to select E90 3-Click Functional Jobs 4-Press Enter 5-Press F4 to select E90 6-Press F4 to select Error Memory 7-Press F1 to Read Error Memory or the F something to Clear Errors |
