Is black chrome exhaust tip trim on the M-Sport possible?

Just as the title says, I am wondering if the black exhaust tips, off of the sport line, can be added to the m sport when you order from the dealer or if that is just a combination that isn't possible, I'm thinking about just pulling the trigger on the sedan and not waiting for the coupe, really torn down the middle on it.

Edit: I know there is no diff. for performance I just think it looks really cool with the dark chrome.

Too bad you're really far from me. I would trade with you as I prefer the chrome.

That's actually a good point, don't they replace the exhaust with some that have ///M Performance engraved on them anyway?

{BMW M PERFORMANCE EXHAUST SYSTEM
Developed using state-of-the-art CAD and FEM technology, this stainless steel exhaust system improves the sound quality and volume of the hallmark BMW inline six-cylinder engine. A unique, high-tech look is provided by two chrome-plated 80 mm exhaust tips which are laser engraved with the M logo. Exhaust back pressure is reduced and a sporty powerful tone is heard (without droning) with the BMW M Performance Exhaust System.} <---So that is not same thing that you, Justinnum1, were talking about? They are about the same price, I saw this around the forums I just thought that they were talking about the exhaust upgrade. Or can you get the upgrade without the tips?

Wouldn't that be considered an accessory since its not a factory installed option? Dealer installed accessories aren't usually residualized, unless that has changed..

It's part of the new Port Installed accessory program.

400 of the 1335 gets residualized. confirmed by my dealer.

New "Port Installed Accessory Program" where these parts are installed at the VPC after the car is rolled off the ship. It hasn't really been discussed or marketed in detail yet, but appears they residualize a portion of the accessory price on a lease. I don't lease, so that didn't matter to me, but if you pay invoice for a port-installed accessory it's a significant savings on labor as opposed to having the dealer install after delivery.

Seems like people are paying MSRP though...which kind of eliminates the labor savings you would get if you just buy the accessories from one of the discount retailers and pay the dealer to install. You should be able to negotiate the port installed accessories for invoice just like any other option.

I had mine installed at the dealer. Price difference was $100 and I trust my dealer (4th car from them and counting) before I'd have the port do it. Doesn't matter where you install it, if you lease, some amount gets put into the car and some you pay for.

black exhaust on the the Msport is possible in SA if you purchase the black tip from BMW parts department and have it fitted.
