Hello Z9 & Z10!!!

Hey all, I ordered more Z7 soap and I decided to try the Z9 & Z10 leather cleaner and conditioner. I received them this past weekend and tried them out. I have been using Lexol cleaner and conditioner up to this point. I wasn't impressed with the results and the application process was more involved.

The Zaino products are super easy to use(as all their products are)! The cleaner is just a spray-on and wipe clean! Unlike the Lexol, which required a damp cloth to apply and another cloth to remove. The conditioner is just as easy, wipe on, that's it, no buffing!!

The results are amazing! I had some creases in the drivers seat bolsters that the Lexol was never able to lesson. The Z10 took alot of the creases out, and the ones that remain are far less obvious! The Lexol never seamed to be able to "tighten" the leather(helps remove creases) whereas the Z10 firmed the surface up nicely!! But the most wonderful aspect of the Z9 and Z10 is the smell!! With the Lexol, it smelled like a barn, now my car smells like the inside of a Coach store!! Please, if you were thinking of tryng this stuff, GO FOR IT! I feel stupid because it took me so long to try it out, and since I already use the Zaino line for the outside!

Danny

I always used Lexol also and was thinking of zaino. But was always un-sure of the product. Now that you posted this I will take your word and try it out. Thanks for the post!
Would you happen to have any before and after pics?

Hi All! Sorry, I don't have pictures, but if your already a user of zaino for the outside, imagine equal amazing results on the inside! My butt slides in the drivers seat with more ease, old creases haven't returned to the same degree as before and new creases are being delayed/prevented! And the smell is just !! This is after only one application!!

Hi HRC. I tried Z9 & Z10 on my seats. Z10 didn't really firm up the surface or take out the wrinkles. Am I not applying enough?

For a through application, should the seats be glistening wet? Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Even after ample application, the seats, once dried, become dull looking again.

Hi! Yea, it sounds like your not using enough. Use enough of the z9 so that the surface is kinda wet and slippery. When your done cleaning with z9, it should smell really different. Then with z10, use enough so that when done with a section, you have a nice kinda wet coat over it. You have to then let it dry for maybe half an hour or so. Again, after the z10, it should smell really good if you used enough. After the first couple of times, it should take less of each to get done.

Hey HRC. Thanks for that quick response.

Yeah. I'll try to use more next time. Still, I think I was expecting too much from Zaino. I was hoping it would remove or tighten the wrinkles. The wrinkles in the side bolsters are still there, deep as ever!

Maybe it's cause I'm doing the treatment too late. I've had my car since June 2005, and this was the first time that I treated the leather treats! Haha. I'm a lazy body...

Well, that (expecting too much) may or may not be the case. Give it some time, it's not gonna fix it over night with one or two treatments. Just start using them as your regular leather care and over time, it will be alot better, trust me! Lets revisit after say 4 or 6 weeks (assuming you wash and care for your leather every week or so) and see what happens.

But if they smelled like freakin' oranges, you'd be all over it, right David!

zaino rules for leather if your interested you should try the Poorboys leather stuff. Its a cleaner and conditioner in one and works just as well and a fraction of the cost.

Thanks for the info. I have use the Zaino products with great success. I was wondering about Zaino's leather cleaner and conditioner. I used the BMW leather cleaner and it is not bad.

Do you use the conditioner with the clearner at all times?

Yes I do. Exceptions are when I just need a quick clean, so I'll use the z9 and that's it. But if I'm using the z10, I always make sure to clean the surface before I condition the leather. I try not to apply the z10 over dust/dirt.

Hi HRC. I was checking Zaino's product instruction page. Apparently, you're suppose to use a sponge to apply and lather up Z9. What type of sponge are you suppose to use, though? I just used a MF towel last time. What do you use personally?

Yea, before I used a MF sponge that my Zaino guy sends me with all my orders. But I stopped using the sponge because my interior is pretty clean already. My distributer confirmed that I can skip this step and just use a terry cloth to wipe them down. Foaming helps bring the dirt up. I usually clean/condition my interior every week, so dirt doen't have a chance to build up.
