Is my 2013 328i Sport line a N26?

Hey guys, I just bit the bullet and got a 328i.. honestly couldnt afford the 335i at the time. So now im wanting to make this whimp a little more beefed up. My question is: Am I dealing with the Sulev motor here? Or do I still have the n20? Thanks guys. I appreciate any and all response.

Why do you think you don't have a N20 engine? And I wouldn't necessarily call the 328 a whimp by any means...

well really because I read on here that all the 2013 cars that were coming over were equipped with a N26 but I honestly have no idea if mine has it or not. As im wanting to do some mods such as exhaust ect. I was just trying to find out.

After driving my 2009 Twin Turbo 335i- this one is just a little slower, and with all the other cars we have (2013 E63 AMG and 2009 M3) that I rive on a reg basis. My DD just seems a little..... wimpy. Not saying I don't love it. Its just the exhaust note I mostly don't love. The difference in notes between the F30 335 and 328 is enormous. There's alot more silencing and resonating going on in the 328 it seems

That is simply incorrect. From what I understand, 6mt's are automatically N20's.

If you have an 8at, it can be either N26 or N20.

Easy way to tell is when looking at your registration, does it show the car as 328i (N20) or 328is (N26)?

Another way is looking into the engine bay, just rear of the oil filler cap you can see if there is a boost solenoid present. If present, then 328i, if not, 328is.

Where did you see all 2013's were N26? Not doubting it, just hadn't heard of this before. For 2012, the only N26 states were CA, MA, NY, NJ, and VT.

Agreed, shifting this car has been a huge learning experience with the complete lack of response especially at the track with the windows open.

I read somewhere in the forum there is only $20/month difference on lease between a 328 and 335 in the states.

According to the sites, 328 vs 335 is $40 a month, 328XI vs 335XI is $50. That's about a 10% difference.
