Navigation Problems

I just bought a 2003 Z4 with Nav. The unit takes forever to initialize, and when I pop the disk in and out, the screen says it's not in the unit. Sometimes it works after 20 minutes of startup. I am wondering if it's the reader or the disk. The screen also has problems lifting up all the way. Sometimes I have to push the button several times until it works. I have two more months on the warranty so I want to bring this in as soon as possible.
I'm just wondering if anybody has had this problem? Thanks

I have a 2004 with the same problem.
I am scheduled to have the head motor asmby replaced under warranty tomorrow.
