M5 Diffuser Install on 535i MSport (help needed)

Hey guys, just wondering for those who have done it, how did you relocate or adjust the parking/reverse sensor bar to allow the M5 diffuser to clip on?

It's not a direct swap. The M5 diffuser wont even clip onto the rear bumper or get close to it at all because that "bar" is in the way.

Any tips/advice? Thanks!

You can ask Bart@autocouture and Jenk89 from our forum member. They modified M5 diffuser to their cars.

I would like to know as well. I read that you need some kind of support bracket.

As far as I know the OEM 535i bracket holding the TPMS sensor and another sensor gets in the way. I tried to slide the diffuser on earlier even after trimming it a bit, and it still wont slide on.

Im about this far "----" from just yanking the whole thing off by force because my exhaust weld appointment is tomorrow morning and my friend who lives an hour away from me borrowed my grinder(hence considering using my hands).

If I had my grinder Id just cut the whole thing off and relocate/tuck the sensors behind the bumper.

Odd thing is I just moved the car so I can could close the garage and now I have an "excessive battery use while car is off" warning light on. This is getting to be so frustrating. All I wanted to do was swap diffusers, which is really done by unclipping the original MSport one and snapping the M5 one on.

See link for more insight about what is needed to make the M5 Diffuser work. Looks like the adapter part #2 is needed.

Aaron, I'm in your shoes right now about just wanting to cut the entire plastic piece off so I middle insert piece will fit and the excessive use of battery light turned on also. So frustrating. On top of that, my comfort access for the truck release with the foot doesn't work now to make things worse.. Errggg..

So just want to confirm with you, did you relocate that long tubular wire behind the bumper along and the thin sensor strip behind the bumper? By any chance so you have pictures of the install?

Thanks
