playing dvds on idrive (dont worry i read the DIY)

i read the DIY but it is very complicating! someone told me that my car can play DVD's and the DIY is only so that you can play DVDs while NOT in park

is that true? if i insert a DVD where my navigation CD is, will it get stuck and not play/work?

thanks

ok.... whoever told you that your car can play dvd while parked, ask him/her where did they get their info from... and if they can't back it up, back slap them.

Only one way to find out right?... go ahead and press eject from the dvd drive, and then insert your dvd movie. Park the car and see if it works... That will answer your question, if the search button hasn't.

There's tons of threads on this topic, the DIY is complicated because when you buy the nav2go equipment, to pull your idrive screen out and connect those wires can get confusing, but stock, STOCK... i highly doubt it will play... I could be wrong. Place a dvd movie in your dvd drive... And no, it will not get stuck.

Not going to work. You have to get Nav2Go module to interface with a seperate DVD player.

It will not work. At least I know for a fact that it will not work on U.S. and Canada build cars.

I installed a Pinoneer DVD player (passenger side) and works fine. Shame the remote is rather crap. Should have thought more about that
