Replacing Logic 7 Amp plug n play or need coding?

I been researching about replacing my logic 7 amp that died and have conflicting opinions if it is plug and play and should work fine or I need to go to a shop and reprogram it.

Of course the difference would be saving money (about $150) or doing it myself but I dont want to find out it didnt work or even I mess it up by blowing the new amp...

I've heard members say its plug and play and should be fine but a mechanic said they would need to reprogram it so im not sure.

If anyone know for sure, please let me know

I can post a picture of my old amp and serial key later when i get home
