E90 LCI OEM HIFI Install Help!
Ok, so I am installing an OEM Alpine Hifi kit and I have run the wires to each side of the car. Now, if I understand the Pdf instructions, the wires that I need to connect are near the front seats. However I have spent the good part of my night trying to find these bastards.
If you have experience on this install could you point me to the right direction in which way the wires are hiding? towards the front, mid or rear of the car? Logic dictates the length of the amp wires would be an indication to where the wires are....yet no. |

What did the car come with ? Hi Fi or stereo system
If it came with the base system there may be no wiring for Hi Fi.
When you say Alpine do you mean the retro fit kit Alpine Kit for the base system . 2010 cars came with the ampless base system called the stereo system . All US Cars came with Hi Fi before 2010 and after the 9/2010 build of the 2011 models . During these years there was no pre wiring built into the cars as there was between 2006 and 2009. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ht=amp+install entry 22 in the above thread is that what your talking about? Yep I bought the E90 LCI Alpine retrofit kit. The wiring should be there if they sold HIFI at the dealer as an option. Where did you come across the wiring info? Entry 22 is what I have been looking for.

If you really want to learn what to do read this
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323
It has all the info and examples you should need. Or at least the most of it. Entry 3 in the above thread has two links to Alpine retrofits and a lot of info on them. Last edited by ctuna; 12-04-2012 at 02:20 PM.. |
