Different between M sport and E90 335i Sport pkg
Are these 2 different cars, never seen a M sport at a dealer but seen M3 and M5s. Someone told me that M sport exterior parts can fit E90 pre-lci easily, like Bumpers and bonnet and lips...

M sport and sport package are two different packages. With m sport you'll have the mtech bumpers, black headlining, m steering wheel, and m logo on the door sill. Not two different cars but different packages, hope this is what you wanted to know.

I believe M Sport became available in 2010. Here's a pic and link.

I don't think I have seen any Pre-LCI M-sports. All sport packages, they are really rare in north america. Most are seen in Europe.

Is it safe to assume that both M-sport and sport packages are lowered with performance springs? Do both packages use the same springs, or are they different?

E90 Sport pack and M Sport pack both use the same suspension and seats. Where they differ is in the steering wheel (M sport gains the perforated leather one with an //M logo). FWIW, this one is not heatable but the ordinary sport pack wheel is. the rest of the M Sport pack just consists of cosmetic changes to the front and rear bumpers and door sill plates. I think the manual trans M Sport get a little //M on the shift knob as well but I could be wrong. Can't remember the last time I saw a 6MT M Sport in person. Wheel designs differ between the two differ as well. For my money, the M sport pack looks okay but is not worth the humiliation of //M logos all over the car.

I don't get it though. It's not like there's a LOT of //M logos. Front door sills, steering wheel and shift knob... oh, and the little sticker on the wheels. I probably wouldn't buy the package new (not sure it's worth the sticker over the regular sport pkg), but it just happened to be included in the used sedan I found recently. FWIW, I like the shift knob |
