got a theft recovery 07 335i, here are some pics of what ive done to it. :happy anim:
car was missing wheels, headlights, front passenger seat and rear seats, cluster, center trim, start button and ignition. had the longest time starting the car, took it to 3 different bmw shops and finally last one did some coding and started it. i bought a complete brown interior, 18" vmr vb3's and currently running on jb3 map 3 with afe dci. OP, you've done an awesome job transforming that car. I'm assuming 11k includes purchase price + parts/labor? If so, not bad!

Wonder how it was stolen. Did you see any evidence?
I see three possibilities: 1: Somebody programmed a new key fob from the computer port. 2: Had some kind of universal key fob, 3. tow truck/flat bed/crane truck, 4. Owner left the fob in or the fob was stolen and thief found the car. If it was a professional theft, one would think it would go to a chop shop and it would be stripped. I think that insurance fraud speculation is the best bet.

My number one guess is that someone tried some programming and that that didnt work and made it look like it was stolen. I'm wondering if the previous owner was on here? |
