Traction Control off to engage overboost?

I have searched and cannot to find the answer to my question. In a 335is with a 6mt, does the DTC need to be off in order to engage the overboost function? I just got the car yesterday and had it at WOT once and didn't really feel it kick in.

I think you have to get through the 1200 mile break in period before the computer will allow it.

Really? that would make a lot of sense. Hope you are right. So I don't need to remove DTC, just wait for the break in period?

Speaking of break in period, what would happen if you drove really aggressively during that time?

Same thing with launch control. You must wait until the break in period is over. Funny thing is, they give you a book called a "owner's manual"... It will tell you these "secrets".
