Coolant float switch issue

So, on Friday i drained the coolant and i opened the reservoir, the little red pin didnt come out. reason, the pin broke off. so i searched with a flash light for the pin in the reservoir. the pin fell down behind the flow switch, and the interesting part is, that it blocked the switch so it couldnt move. took me 20 minutes to get the pin out and the switch moving. because the switch was stuck, car would have never give me a warning until its too late. just be aware and check frequently, or break that thing off, because its not really needed if you know your coolant level
