Anyone taking the e90 out to the track?

I am looking to take my 328 sedan out for some autocrossing. Who's in? Any cool experiences? Do's or don'ts?

Thanks!

Especially those cones!

I have only done one autocross before and it was a blast. I have done a dozen or so track days and they are even more fun (albeit more dinero). Probably the best thing you can do for improved performance is get better than stock tires. Also make sure your brake pads have useful life left (generally 1/2 min. for track day). Track days are great because they usually include in car instruction.

Be prepared to get addicted and if you do, be prepared to spend lots of money on events, tires and brakes!

Oh and remember to have fun.

Instructors in autocross? Yes, occasionally there are autocross courses...but they are rare in my region. And its "shiny side up...not sunny side up..that is for eggs.

I took a 335xi out to an autocross. It was awesome! There was tons of understeer, but that was probably my fault as a first timer, I had no idea what I was doing. Have fun and be safe!

Yeah, my friend who gave me the invite is a driving instructor who has taught me a lot through indoor carting. In fact, he test drove my car with me and showed me some things which actually sold me on the vehicle. No doubt, I will listen and perhaps have him show me the limits while I sit in the passenger seat before I take some laps.

What about stock brakes; pads and rotors? Tires? Are my RF tires a played out choice? Anyone take it bone stock?

Fastest way through an autoX for first timers is in a straight line. Don't even bother with the cone thing
