Nail in tire: leave it in or remove it? (pics)
I noticed that one of my tires has a nail in it. It is not leaking at all. Tire is potenza runflat.
Should I just leave it there and hope for the best, or should I get it patched. Its not in the best location. |

Had something similar but it was a screw. I always *try* to remove it and see / listen to see if it starts leaking. If so, I stop and leave it / put it back.
I've had a few where it was just a small little thing that came right out with no leaks or anything. My most recent started to leak as soon as I moved it. I put it back and drove down to America's Tire. They patched it without issue and the location was almost the same. As long as the tire hasn't lost pressure you should be good. |
